Heterotopias is the first project to operate on Fauve, a brand-new VR headset that creates interactions with the immersive story through the user’s blinks and eye movements. Here, the system’s potential is used to support a fascinating reflection on space.
Heterotopias is a virtual reality work inspired by a Michel Foucault lecture in 1967, “Other spaces”. By blinking, viewers create real cinematic cuts and, hanging on a chair, they move through this very sensory experience which offers an interpretation of Foucault’s concept of heterotopia. A virtual foray into the French philosopher’s “spaces”: a garden, a well, a mausoleum…
