Fascinated by the artistic potential of VR, Jan Kounen has created three immersive projects this year: -22,7°C, Ayahuasca - Kosmik Journey and 7 Lives. Undoubtedly the boldest of the three, the latter takes us on a journey through seven souls and seven successive lives. A metaphysical slap in the face.

A very ambitious project led by interactive production company Red Corner, 7 Lives is a sci-fi tale written by Charles Ayats and Sabrina Calvo, and produced by Jan Kounen, who will present two other VR experiences at GIFF this year, Ayahuasca – Kosmik Journey and -22.7. Combining real footage in 3D with computer animation and interactive sequences, 7 Lives interweaves cinema with digital creation around a very sensitive story, built around the suicide of a young girl in the Tokyo subway.
