The Jardin des Plantes closes its doors. In the tropical greenhouse, a visitor stays behind to spend the night there, but he’s not alone. Gradually, the place fills up with imaginary animals, a strange musician appears, the artist unveils his secret and the “Dreams” begin. From his naïve, almost psychedelic visions, which delighted his contemporaries – Picasso and Apollinaire especially – Rousseau created paintings where fertility, pleasure and life combined with dreams in a harmony of colors and composition. Will visitors find their muse in this imaginary jungle?
