Only the Mountain Remains is the story of a young pregnant migrant woman who leaves in search of her child’s father who has disappeared in the mountains. In a single 30-minute-long sequence shot, this virtual reality fiction denounces the difficult situation and resistance of foreign workers in Taiwan. The 360-degree camera lies inside a car, very close to the characters, leading viewers to experience their feelings in a dark atmosphere where changing lights and shadows blur the boundaries of reality.
