Created by Zurich-based start-up SOMNIACS, Birdly returns to GIFF with a brand-new project. The “flying machine” has now become a “swimming machine”, turning us into sea turtles and showing us the beauty as well as the destruction of the aquatic ecosystem.

After buildings in San Francisco, New York and the Upper Jurassic, the third virtual reality experience produced by Swiss studio SOMNIACS invites us into an underwater journey. Birdly – Paradise Lost enables viewers to embody for a few minutes, a small sea turtle roaming freely around colorful coral reefs brimming with thousands of fish and other underwater creatures. A playful and deep experience that recalls the dangers of climate change and human activity on the coral reef ecosystem.
