For Joe, chaos is the raw material of his existence. His professional life is basically a series of lies, sneaky ploys, races against time and unexpected twists. The rest of his time is spent fighting for custody of his beloved daughter. Nikolaj Lie Kaas offers a tender but knowing portrayal of a character caught in an unstoppable and chaotic momentum, reminiscent of Paul Hackett in After Hours (1985) or Howard Ratner in Uncut Gems (2019). This funny yet poignant series is built on the wonderfully self-deprecating performances of numerous Danish stars, notably Nikolaj Walder-Costau (Game of Thrones) and Ulriche Thomsen (Festen).
