As part of the 7th edition of the Democracy Week, from October 2 to 9, 2021 in the courtyard of the Geneva City Hall, the State Chancellery invites the GIFF to present two works that will virtually immerse the public in two key moments of the political history of the 20th century.

Each evening, at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., the “spectators” who wish to do so will be able to relive the penetrating speech made by Georges Clémenceau on November 11, 1918 before the French National Assembly on the occasion of the armistice, before immersing themselves in the Homeric verbal joust between Walter Sisulu, who was prosecuted in 1963 for his action against apartheid, and the South African prosecutor who had brought him to justice.

Twenty swivel seats and as many virtual reality headsets will be available to the public at each session in the courtyard or under the archways of City Hall, depending on the weather. The event is free. However, due to the limited number of seats, it is strongly recommended to reserve your place now.

The complete program of the Democracy Week is available online, on the website semaine-democratie.ge.ch.
