Emily is on the brink. While her life as a future partner in a large Swedish law firm seems idyllic, she is still homeless and penniless. Could a kidnapping save her? There are false pretenses and real talent in this infinitely tense northern thriller.

To ensure her future at her law firm, Emily gets it into her head to find the son of the firm’s most important client, who has just disappeared. She then meets Teddy, who has just been released from prison and intends not to return. Although it fits into the great tradition of Nordic noir – with its tortured characters, shattered lives and skillful plot – Top Dog manages to renew the codes by mixing it with American-style legal drama. A great success.
