Recreating a type-like viral video, The Soothsayings of Iris is a prophetic interview with a fictitious character, a mash-up of several intriguing public figures that populate our networks. Equally inspired by their adoptive Swiss environment and the US West Coast, consciously fascinated by the spread of specific ideologies like new-age mysticism on one hand and the phenomenon of over-hyped celebrities on the other, Maria Guta and Lauren Huret’s project lies in the in-between of these two worlds.
