New York, August 2007. The country is on the verge of a serious financial crisis, but nobody seems to realize it except for Richard Boca, a financial analyst, a “quant” who wields algorithms like a god. On his way to a fancy party his life is turned upside down following two encounters with a woman and a mosquito. A chilling film about fear, metamorphosis and high-frequency trading, based on Michael Lewis’ Flash Boys.
