Two penniless losers discover a giant fly in the trunk of an old Mercedes (with a Vaud number plate, really!). They decide to train it, in the hope that it will bring them fortune and prosperity. The funniest, most absurd and delirious film of the year. Glory to Dupieux!
“My films happen nowhere and never.” Maverick director of movies, music videos and commercials and pioneer of French touch (Mr. Oizo!) Quentin Dupieux remains true to himself in Mandibles, which features a giant fly making friends with two simpletons. With the help of his partner Joan Le Boru, head decorator and artistic director, Dupieux offers us a crazy comedy that is more than welcome. A fantastic film full of vitality, with a soundtrack by Metronomy. Yippee!
