Il canto dei suicidi

World Premiere

A journey to the end of Hell. In the first sense of the term, since in Il canto dei suicidi, Vincent Ciciliato and Christophe Havel put in image and immersion the Song XIII of Dante Alighieri’s Inferno. With grandiose sets, nightmarish visions and battered bodies, it’s infernal, indeed.

A free interpretation of The Divine Comedy’s Song XIII, this immersive project is based on various motifs present in Dante Alighieri’s narrative. A virtual and acoustic wandering, Il canto dei suicidi plunges us into an environment composed of immense platforms, each representing an allegorical scene: from souls of suicide victims plunged into Hell and reincarnated as trees, to their return to Earth in entities without bodies at the time of the Last Judgement.
