Sainte-Foy, Quebec, bodies floating in a pool, water mixed with blood. What happened during that summer in 1974? What does it have to do with the Delisle and the Paquette, old friends who took their children to the same summer camp? Both absurd and fun, a series steeped in the spirit of La Belle Province.

Two families. The children away at summer camp. There’s drinking and flirting, and killing too. Somewhere between Crazy and Arcand’s sharp cinema, Happily Married documents these friendships and love stories that time mistreats and deconstructs. A made-to-measure narrative that runs between the dramatic and the grotesque, as if the scorching sun of the Quebec summer were to irreparably reveal the absurdity of these human trajectories that intertwine and clash.
