Red Fields is an adaptation of the opera rock Mami, written by Hillel Mittelpunkt, a mega-hit in Israel in the 80s and a cult album since. Here, we follow the incredible destiny of a modest woman whose husband has returned from the war in a coma. For three years, the moviemaker worked with one of the country’s greatest stars, Dudu Tassa, to create new arrangements for these songs. A powerful and poetic anti-militarist ode.
