Upon his father’s death, Patrick takes over the management of the family naturist camp. However, something else is bothering him: Patrick has lost his favorite hammer. An existential and surrealistic quest that (literally) lays bare its protagonists. Pure Belgian cinema.
“In 1985, my parents took me to a nudist camp in the Pyrenees. It was managed by a blind woman and her son, and the woman didn’t know that the people there were naked.” This memory inspired the moviemaker to create this absurd and burlesque psychological thriller, led by a tragically unambitious hero. How do you grieve for your hammer? A bizarre question, but that’s indeed what torments Patrick, the reluctant hero of this scathing fantasy.
