This movie’s genesis is a little chaotic. Actor Melvil Poupaud met Xavier Dolan for a small role which ultimately turned into the main one. The wicked Poupaud brought to life a flamboyant transgender character. Two 3-month periods of shooting separated by a long pause helped Dolan adjust and edit the movie, which features a couple’s life unfolding like a fresco from 1989 to 1999, where each love is unique. Provocative, ambitious and delicious!
