Filmmaker Bob Fosse (Cabaret, All That Jazz) and Gwen Verdon, a memorable actress and dancer, didn’t just leave their mark on the history of musicals. They were a couple in real life too, and not just any couple. An elegant and serial biopic by HBO, the pilot episode of which GIFF will screen.

A beautiful homage to dance and music in cinema, Fosse/Verdon takes inspiration from the world of American musicals to tell the story of one of its creators, Bob Fosse, director of Cabaret (1972) and All That Jazz (1979), and Gwen Verdon, a popular actress and dancer. The series is steeped in music, with its soundtrack as well as its visual rhythm, abounding colors and celebration of dance.
