You are sitting on a boat in the middle of the ocean. An elderly man, Joseph, is rowing in front of you. He tells you the night he escaped the Nazi soldiers, how he fled Denmark to Sweden and how he fought for his relatives with him. As the story continues, the sea dissolves. Streets and passers-by emerge, and you sail silently through the old man's tormented memories. But, as the day rises, a question arises: who will go until the end of the night?
