Claude Monet painted close to 250 oil paintings of the water lilies in his pond in Giverny, including the eight panels of L’Orangerie in Paris. Through this virtual fantasy, the floral work of this immense impressionist comes to life and is told from the inside. Poetic and mesmerizing.

In his Normandy home of Giverny, from 1899 to 1926, Claude Monet painted more than 250 oil paintings of water lilies. These 250 or so works have since become monuments of impressionist art. Claude Monet – L’Obsession des Nymphéas takes viewers into the artist’s places of creation, from his garden in Giverny to the exhibition at Musée de l’Orangerie via the painter’s studio, and immerses them into the heart of these extraordinary masterpieces. A unique and very successful way of contemplating Monet’s work.
